The purpose of the Comprehensive plan is six-fold:
 To seek agreement on key issues facing the county.
To establish a common vision for our future.
To have the Comprehensive Plan accepted as the primary guide and policy statement for the development of Warren County.
To constitute a mandate for the local governing body either to implement the recommendations, within reasonable economic and time limits, or to change the Comprehensive Plan.
To maintain and improve the overall quality of life for all citizens of Warren County by
a. preserving, conserving, and efficiently utilizing the natural and historic assets of Warren County;
b. encouraging a stable, growing and enduring economic base;
c. providing desired and necessary public facilities and services within a financially sound framework.
To meet the legal requirements set out in KRS Chapter 100 with respect to the contents of the Comprehensive Plan. |
